I have a refrigerdaire/affinity front load washer. I removed the soap dispenser drawer and cleaned it and the channel because the fabric softener wasn’t dispensing. Now trying to replace the drawer but, there is an extra part (the first one in photo)…..I can’t figure out where it came from or how to reinstall it. Help please
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To remove the tray pull it all the way out until it stops. On the left side where the soap goes in back on top there is a "tab" that you push down slightly to unlock it and holding that down you can then pull the tray all the way out. To put the tray back in line up the groove on the left side of the washing machine with the rail of the tray, slide it in a little ways until you can line up the groove on the right side with the tray and then slide it all the way in.

I understand that you are looking for more information on how to clean the dispenser drawer on your front-loading washer (model FAFW3801LW). Cleaning this part is easy; here are some simple steps. • Remove the drawer by pulling the drawer out until it stops. • Reach back into the left rear corner of the drawer cavity and press down firmly on the lock tab. Pull out the drawer. • Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments. • Rinse the drawer and inserts with a combination of ¾ cup liquid chlorine bleach and 1 gallon hot tap water to remove traces of accumulated powders and liquids. • Large amounts of fabric softener residue may indicate improper dilution or more frequent cleaning is required. • Rinse well with tap water. Hope this helps!
