A:Answer The microwave and lower ovens are completely separate units. The microwave plugs into the lower oven, and then the lower oven is hardwired. Please note that I am not an electrician, but I suspect that you could get by with a 30amp/240v circuit, but that could cause problems if you use the microwave for a long period of time while the lower oven is also on. To be safe and for future expansion/replacement options, you may just want put in a 50amp/240v circuit, which is standard/code for a double oven. Again, I'm not an electrician and honestly your electrician should know the answer to this (or you may want to find another electrician).
