A:Answer Hello, Rusty. I realize it has been awhile since you posted your question, but I am just now seeing it and decided to respond because it sounds like we are having the same problem with the front, right burner.
If you're interested, I wrote a very specific (and long) negative review of this item here on Best Buy's site just minutes ago.
Anyway, as you have probably noticed, all four burners have "auto sizing" written on them.... which SHOULD mean you are not limited to using one specific diameter of pan.
Nonetheless, I have tried small, medium, large, and XL (induction) pots/pans on this particular burner, and none of them will heat beyond a steam.
I had to make multiple warranty claims on mine because it would not boil water -- even on its highest setting of 'power boost'.
After five technician visits during the first year of ownership (and multiple 'main board' part replacements), the malfunction continued. So I sent Frigidaire a video as proof that the problem is not being caused by 'user error'. I also made it obvious in the video that the problem is not due to the pots/pans I'm using because I moved them around, and they worked perfectly fine on the others. The water boils within seconds of placing pots/pans of water on the other three burners, yet even after 6 minutes, the front, right will not reach a boiling point.
Frigidaire agreed with me that something was wrong with my unit. They eventually sent me a complete replacement, which was installed today. Unfortunately, though, the same thing is happening with the new one!!!! This tells me Frigidaire has a significant 'bug' to work out with this model.
