  • QuestionWhat type of electrical connection (eg. how many volts) is needed? Do I need an electrician to set it up?

    Asked by dragon.

    • Answer I'm responding here due to the 4-wire response. Frigidaire includes an installation guide on their website for this model stove. It says you can use a 3-prong wire in homes with existing 3-wire connections in the US. I am going to talk with someone in-store to confirm, but I was about to go with a different stove after seeing that answer, so I thought I'd add the info here. Scroll down toward the bottom of the page. There's a section for "Guides and Manuals" that will be of assistance: https://www.frigidaire.com/en/p/kitchen/ranges/induction-ranges/GCFI3060BF

  • QuestionCan someone please provide a picture of what the burner controls look like and where exactly they are placed? What kind of mechanism is it? The model at the store is not plugged in, so impossible to tell when there.

    Asked by NancyG.

    • Answer The burner controls are at the front of the stovetop. When off, as you note, you can't see anything, except for a small on off switch at the front far left. That switch is not raised, it's like a button on your phone, which responds to the heat of your finger. Once that is activated, four red lines appear across the front, and each has an on off switch for burners which have a pan on them. You touch the on off switch, and select the level of heat along the red lines.

  • QuestionWhat are the diameters of the burners?

    Asked by Mag2.

    • Answer Hi there, Mag2! The Frigidaire Gallery 30″ Induction Range (GCFI3060BF) features a five-burner cooktop with the following stated burner “circle” sizes (diameter of the marked cook area): Right-front (largest): 8 3/10″ Left-front: 7″ Left-rear: 7″ Right-rear: 5 1/2″ Center-rear: 5 1/2″ However, user feedback suggests the actual induction coil (the part that heats) is typically 1½″ to 2″ smaller than the marked surface circle, so while the surface says 8.3″, the real coil may be closer to ~6–7. The cooktop surface shows burner circles of 8.3″, 7″, and 5.5″, but the actual heating coils are about 1½–2″ smaller. If you use large pans, consider a model with bigger coils, or plan to center your pan over the coil to ensure even heating. - Maico

  • QuestionDo you offer an Induction stovetop Matt to eliminate scratching?

    Asked by Allphasesteve.

    • Answer Hi, Allphasesteve! Thank you for this inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not offer an induction stovetop mat as an accessory for his model unit yet. Because induction works by heating the cookware and not the cooktop, spills don’t cook or stick to the surface. Before using your cooktop for the first time, apply a ceramic cooktop cleaning cream (available in most hardware, grocery, and department stores) to the ceramic surface. Clean and buff with a clean paper towel. Cooktop cleaning creams leave a protective finish on the glass that will make cleaning easier when the cooktop is soiled from cooking and help prevent scratches and abrasions. ~Juan

  • QuestionDo the control panels have a safety lock feature so children cannot turn it on?

    Asked by Katie.

    • Answer Hello, Katie! Thanks for your question. As a safety measure, the oven doors and controls can be locked. When the doors and controls are locked the screen will show the time of day, a note that the oven is locked, and an UNLOCK key. Once the controls and door are locked, there is no access to any cooking functions. This ensures that the oven will remain locked and safe. We hope this information was helpful to you and your shopping experience. ~Sam
