A:Answer It’s 115 degrees in Arizona right now. No way this would keep it cool without ice. But ice would melt way too fast, so I fill my water bottles, just enough they won’t explode, and I rotate them from my freezer 3 or 4 times a day.
I’ve also used gallon milk jugs, (Plastic)
I fill them up and freeze them.
I put one in the cooler, along with a few water bottles, and refrigerated water.
When the gallon starts to thaw, I’ll dump the water in the cooler, and keep filling the jug with regular water, and dumping it into the cooler, until all the ice is gone.
Fill it up, return it to the freezer, and put another milk jug into the bottom of the cooler.
Rinse and repeat
No need to buy ice packs, my frozen water bottles work just as long, if not longer.
