The camera is a full gasket seal to depths of 30 feet. If your looking for an explosion and chemical proof camera you'll have to go with an exoskeleton camera case designed for that purpose. If your working on oil rigs the oil will destroy the type of gaskets on this camera. I would contact the guys at BH photo video for exactly what you need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hmmm.... I don't know if it officially rated intrinsically safe or explosion proof? I CAN tell you it is completely sealed. It has only 1 port with an o-ring seal. As it is rated for 30' all the controls must be similarly sealed. I hope this helps
