A:Answer yes. Easiest way to do this is to format the hard drive on the Mac using the application "Disk Utility". Format it using the pull down, called "ExFat". ExFat is way of formatting the drive that will let you read, and write, from both Mac and PC. That being said, it must be done from the Mac side. For whatever reason, Mac's do not like ExFat formatted drives from the PC side in my experience. Also, on the Mac side, there are certain things that won't work like file cataloging. For most people, this wont' matter, but if you use disk cloning software, it won't be able to clone ExFat drives as fast.
