• Yes it will void the warranty, you basically have to link it directly to the CPU of the vehicle control unit. No Roy it will not void your vehicle warranty... lol

• Should not avoid any warranty, unless you decide to splice a factory wire to connect. Than, the warranty for that item can be compromised. But if you plug on a cigarette lighter or tap in your fuse box, it can easy be removed, just like if you were charging your cellphone.
