- Answer The DriveSmart 50LMT comes with a suction cup mount and a vehicle power cord. It does not come with a home (AC) charger. The device can be charged indoors with the USB cable when connected to a computer. ~JH

- Answer For HD Traffic, you'd need to get the DriveSmart 50LMTHD. This product uses the standard Garmin Traffic (non-HD traffic). The red light and speed camera alerts will notify you of any known upcoming safety cameras as you drive. If you're approaching an intersection that has a red light camera, for example, it will notify you accordingly. -JPK

- Answer The Garmin Express application is used to update maps and device software on the GPS. Please see the Garmin Support Center for information about installing Garmin Express to your computer: http://bit.ly/2k4hUnQ. - Answer Yes, the DriveSmart series comes preloaded with mapping for North America, including Canada. The mapping will already be loaded to the device, however it may not be the latest version, since the device may have been on the shelf for some time. The latest version can be downloaded with Garmin Express, here: www.garmin.com/express -MH

QuestionMy car already has Sync so my phone is connected to my car. If I wanted to use the voice commands on this, would I have to have it connected to my phone? I know I can not connect to my old Bluetooth GPS and Sync at the same time.

- Answer The voice-activated navigation features are separate from the Bluetooth features (aside from hands free calling and smartphone notifications). The DriveSmart 50LMT has a built-in microphone. ^DK

- Answer Garmin only recommends using a vehicle power cable, AC power charger, or USB cable that is made by Garmin. Third-party cables may not charge the device. The message "Attached power cable cannot charge device. Use the cable provided with your device" may display on the device if using a third-party cable. Thanks, James

QuestionThe car charger and cable has to stretch to reach the left bottom side of my window. Not pretty and sometimes gets in my way. Can I use a longer universal USB/mini cable and charger?

- Answer No it is a slightly different plug in than a standard micro USB. You could however use the USB wire in your car and get an extender if your car has USB ports or you have an adapter.
