- Answer Doesn't matter, when you connect to Garmin Express, it tells you whether or not you're up to date. No password necessary.

QuestionGarmin GPS With FM TransmitterLooking for a New Garmin GPS to replace My old Garmin Nuvi 1450 LMT. My Garmin 1450 had what looks like a FM transmitter built in with the power cord. I am looking at the Garmin GPS Nuvi 56LMT. When the specs say lifetime traffic, is there a FM Transmitter built into the power cord to receive traffic updates? How does it receive traffic up dates?

- Answer LMT designation actually stands for Lifetime Maps & Traffic. Somehow, it's built into the power cord. It receives updates the someway your current one does.
