• Yes, I swim a mile and jog 5 miles in the pool which takes several hours and it does fine.

• I would think so. My 8 year old wear it in the pool and shower all the time and it still works great.

• Yes, as the battery is rated for up to a minimum of 1 year, and the vívofit has a water resistance rating of 5 ATM (see the "Swim" section of http://j.mp/GRMNWRating for more info). Please note that the vívofit is not designed to track these kinds of activities, however it would be safe to wear while doing them. ^DK
