QuestionIs it safe to remove rubber feet on microwave?

- Answer It all depends where your microwave is laying on. A wood table would be fine to remove rubber feet but on hard metal I would not do it

QuestionIf this microwave is placed on a shelf how deep must the shelf be if the plug is located behind the microwave? Need to consider the depth of the microwave but also how close you can get it to the back wall because of the plug. Plug is not flat.

- Answer The microwave needs about 15 to 18 inches to sit on. I installed an outlet in the cabinet above the microwave.

QuestionWhat are the interior dimensions? Can a 9x13 pan fit inside?

- Answer Most likely not, the interior dimensions are 13 inches wide and 13 inches deep. All of the 9 x 13 pans I have have handles so they would not fit inside but I have an 8 x 10 Pyrex dish that fits perfectly. see photos

QuestionI have a similar GE microwave which I have to replace bc the top started bubbling at less than 2 years old (of course out of warrantee). It is also 1.1 cu ft but has 1100 Watts. Why has the wattage decreased and does this affect function?

- Answer I also had an older GE microwave that was 1100 Watts and I had to replace. Yes it has a lower watt rating but seems to cook just as quick or quicker than the older one. I guess this newer one is more efficient. It is also is only slightly smaller.

- Answer Approximately 3 feet 4 inches. I wouldn't recommend any electrical changes or add-ons other than how the factory built it for safety reasons.

- Answer Hi- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Yes, the microwave features Cooking Complete Reminder to remind you when the cooking time has completed. It is a beep that occurs once every minute after the normal cooking cycle has ended. This is different from the 'Cooking Complete Signal' which is 4 beeps heard only once and directly at the end of the cooking cycle. To terminate 'cooking complete reminder', touch Clear/Off or open the door. Thanks for checking with us!

QuestionBeverage ButtonMicro just delivered today. Pressed Beverage button & supposed to start immediately. It didn't. I had to press Start. Manual re: Express Cook very confusing! I must wear rdg glasses to see light white print. Guess, I'll memorize buttons.

- Answer This countertop microwave does not have a filter. However, microwaves need adequate air clearance on each side, the rear, and the top to function properly. This allows good circulation for the intake and discharge of air vents. QuestionQ: Noise of turntable when microwave is on. I bought a GE microwave oven, Model #: JES1145SHSS, in May 2023. For the past one month, Turntable makes quite a sound when it's on, Is there some way to eliminate it? The warranty has expired in May itself.

- Answer The motor shaft is rusting and having a hard time turning. That's what's making the noise. A band-aid fix is to put a drop or two of vegetable oil into the hole under the white triangular platter peg that you can lift out. It's only a matter of time until it gets so rusty that the motor will stop turning altogether. I tore mine down and removed the rust, but it's just going to be a repeating cycle until I finally get rid of the stupid thing. Hope this helps.
