QuestionMy current whirlpool microwave stopped working and I’m looking for a GE one. There are more options for a countertop however I need a built in. My current space is 23w x 17h x 21d. Can any countertop be used in built in space?

The PEB9159SJSS is not capable of ventilation and only intended for counter top or built-in use. - Answer Hi Zoey1021 - While it does not have a "Toast" feature, BROIL mode uses a thermal upper element to quickly grill/broil foods similar to a conventional oven. Some use the Broil mode to toast items. Thanks for viewing GE! Sue

QuestionI'm having my kitchen remodeled. It needs to fit on the platform of my cabinet. I'm not sure if I correctly determined the measurement off your specs page from the back of the unit to the front "pegs" to keep it off the board. PEB9159SJ is the model.

QuestionCan this be used as a toaster oven also?

- Answer It has a broiler option so I suppose you could toast items but it would only be on one side, you'd have to flip it to toast the other side. Personally, it's more of an convection oven/broiler aside from it being a microwave. If you like toast, I'd suggest you buy a conventional toaster.

It is compatible with Microwave Optional 27" Built-In Trim Kit JX9152SJSS and Microwave Optional 30" Built-In Trim Kit JX9153SJSS. Microwave Trim Kits are not interchangeable. A trim kit consists of the trim frame, as well as an upper, lower, and rear duct that attaches to and encases the microwave inside the cabinet cut-out. QuestionI have returned two damaged microwave convection ovens to Home Depot—hard to believe they would ship something dented so badly and expect a customer to accept it. Have high hopes that Best Buy will do better.
