You have to open the microwave door, close it and press a number, 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, or press time cook and enter the minutes of desired heating time

Here are a few tips to try: Make sure the door is securely closed, press Cancel/Off to cancel any current settings, Cancel/Off may have been pressed accidently.
