We put same model in less than a month ago. Do not have loud screeching. If it sounds loud, then there is probably something wrong. Who installed? The flap on the exhaust vent may not be opening if it was not installed correctly. I can imagine that would make some noise.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We replaced an old GE (with the same problem) with this model a couple of weeks ago. Ours sounds like you would expect a microwave to sound. No loud screeching sounds.

Normally you'll hear sounds like clicks or humming while the unit is running, not screeching. We'd recommend that you cease use of your model and reach out to our service team to take advantage of your warranty. Warranty details can be found on page 23 of your Use and Care manual.
