QuestionIs there a way to lower the brightness of the clock on the microwave display

- Answer I had the same issue. The display on my HB microwave was so bright it lit up the room! I tried to find a display adjustment, but it was nonexistent. So, I took a small piece of painters' tape and simply covered that panel. I can see what is says but it no longer blinds me by the light!

- Answer Hi Susan- The microwave is shipped from the factory to vent outdoors out the top (vertically), but can also be vented out the rear (horizontally) or recirculating (non-vent indoors). Recirculating Charcoal Filter JX81J is included for recirculating vent option. - Answer Hi Rick- We certainly appreciate your loyalty! All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. QuestionI have a new JVM6172SK5SS microwave. The vent fan always come on immediately when in use, and is HUGELY noisy. The cooktop is not in use, and there is no other source of heat or steam. How can I disable the fan from always automatically starting?

JVM1750DP2WW has sensor cooking controls. We suggest GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven Model #: JVM7195DKWW and GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven Model #: JVM6175DKWW. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. QuestionCan Any one speculate as to why GE(?) did not put a backlite on the key pad? Even with proper lighting it is hard to see those numbers etc on a dark background, Very difficult to operate in late evening,early morning and at night!!!

QuestionI need to replace a JVM1653WD003. Is there a direct replacement that will use the same brackets that are already installed? The problem with the JVM1653 is that the door latch spring came off and I am unable to reinstall it.

- Answer Your current model is 1.6 cubic ft and 1000 Watts. The mounting plate on your current model is WB56X10260 and it is no longer available to order so it wouldn't be on any of our newer models. We recommend using the hardware that comes with your new microwave. The mounting kits have changed over the years and are not interchangeable.

- Answer We purchased the GE 1.7 cuft Space Saver over-the-counter microwave (JVM6172DKWW) for the same reason. This microwave has a somewhat different position of screws than our original one. There was also some inconsistency in the installation template. However, the microwave is in and works fine.

- Answer This is a great question! To set the power level for this microwave: 1. Press Cook Time. 2. Enter cooking or defrosting time. 3. Press Power Level. 4. Select desired power level 1-10. 5.
