Hi sharndon - Thank you for reaching out to us and for your patience. We truly appreciate your interest in this over-the-range microwave to replace your current unit and are happy to help you with this! While you may see slight differences in the dimensions between models, all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. This design is intended to make choosing a replacement microwave easy. - This model, JVM7195DKBB, would be a fantastic choice, and would also provide you with a larger interior capacity than your previous model as well as additional features! When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket and hardware included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. You can also learn more about the necessary mounting space for this model on page 7 of the Installation Guide, seen here: https://files.bbystatic.com/D8505xASz7TWU7wUCScjfA%3D%3D/71202a78-ffec-4fa8-acf8-bb8e16b55a36.pdf. - We hope that this information is helpful for you and are so glad to have you as a loyal member of the GE Appliances family. Please don't hesitate to reach back out to us if you have any additional questions about this replacement or installation. All the best! -Eliza@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you take measurements of width, depth and height of your current microwave (exterior dimensions, not interior), it should be easy to find a new one to fit the space. Our new microwave fit perfectly in our opening. Also, if your microwave has an exhaust vent, you need to get one that vents the same way (top, out or recirculate).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. At least two steps. One, call the company and ask for what current model has the exact or closest fit. Two, check the specifications and installation instructions on the web site and look for yourself. With this information the replacement will seem to be a perfect fit; however, because of manufacturing changes, the way in which the unit is supposed to be installed may be different from the previous model--making the advice and information you obtained worthless, The unit will look and feel the same as the previous model but will have to be installed in a different way.
