• A:Answer Hi Monica - Thanks for choosing GE! Model JNM7196SKSSis factory-assembled for recirculating but can be converted to vent outside. Also, Model JVM7195SKSS is the same microwave except factory-assembled for outside exhaust. The GE over-the-range models are all designed for adaptation for the following three types of ventilation: 1. Outside Exhaust (Vertical – Delivered from factory in vertical position. Except JNM7196SKSS). 2. Outside Exhaust (Horizontal). 3. Recirculating (Non-vented ductless). Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue

• A:Answer Hi Bristol! Thanks for reaching out! All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! - NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. - With that being said, the new model that you've got your eye on here will make for a wonderful replacement! This makes choosing a replacement a breeze. Please note however, that you will need to use the mounting kit that comes with the model. This is because the kit is made specifically for that model. Q: QuestionI am replacing a smaller microwave. I have custom cabinets. The width is 29-7/8". I noticed that the reported width is 27.75". Will it work? What is the absolute minimum width?

• A:Answer Yes! more to the point though is that it an updated model that appears to have a slightly smaller power rating. maybe 100 watts or so. Everything else is excellent. The fan speed now has 4 levels of power versus 3 previously. The locations of the push button contacts to begin microwaving are somewhat modified but that does not in anyway affect the functionality. The size was extremely important to us and it was an identical match. Bottom line the price was lower than what we had paid 8 years ago and it’s a perfect match. I don’t think that you will go wrong purchasing this item - and the Best Buy sales personnel were very helpful as were the delivery gentlemen. Good luck on your purchase.

Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195DKWW is the same except assembled for outdoor venting (shipped from the factory to vent out the top (vertically), but can also be vented out the rear (horizontally). All GE Appliances over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: *Outside exhaust (horizontal) *Outside exhaust (vertical), *Recirculating (non-vented). • A:Answer All of our over the range 30" microwaves do replace each other. We do have models JVM7195RWSS and JNM7196SKSS that would be great replacements. Please know you will have to use the hardware and brackets that come with the new unit.

• A:Answer No, it is slightly different. The mounting bracket slots is about 1/4 - 1/2 inches to the left. Installing the mounting bracket that comes with the new microwave is easy to install.
