Hi gigi- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Install the unit a floor strong enough to support it fully loaded. Allow the following clearances for ease of installation, proper air circulation and plumbing and electrical connections: Back 2", Sides 3/4", Top 1". After these requirements have been met, there are no other restrictions or limitations concerning location when installing a refrigerator. Thanks for checking with us!
