Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. A refrigerator should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet (115 volt, 60 hertz, single phase AC). The refrigerator should be on a dedicated circuit. This is recommended for best performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits. It could cause a possible fire hazard from overheating wires. All current GE refrigerators require a 15 amp fuse/breaker. Note: Volts x Amps = Wattage. Start-up amps and wattage are usually three times more than the running amps or watts. The running amps and volts are listed on the refrigerator rating plate. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It draws 15 amperes.
