A:AnswerNo this model makes ice and stores in the ice bin, however, there is also a cold water dispenser in the left side of the refrigerator, but no crushed ice. We are pleased with our purchase.
A:AnswerThe ice maker cannot be removed, and it is factory installed. You can choose to not connect the water line if you wish. You can also leave the ice maker in the "Off" position. We recommend using the bypass plug if you choose not to use the ice maker. -Kacie@GEAppliances
A:AnswerThis lovely refrigerator is frost-free. There are several sounds you may hear while the refrigerator is operating. These include a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while the compressor is running,
a whooshing sound when the doors are closed as the air pressure equalizes. You may hear internal fans spin at different speeds and a buzz or snap associated with the use of the water dispenser. Additional information is available on Page 42 of the online Owner's Manual which can be found by clicking on the Features tab and scrolling to the bottom of the Features listing. -Vikki@GEAppliances
A:AnswerNewer refrigerators sound different from older models because they have more features and use newer technology. Please take a moment to review the support article on the GE Appliances website titled: "Refrigerator - Normal Sounds and Noises Made." If you believe the noise is abnormal after reviewing this information, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our Bodewell technicians to assess your unit. A:AnswerWe recommend checking out model GTS22KYNRFS which has a height of 66-3/8” and a required air clearance of 1”, which would be a great fit for your 68” height space.
A:AnswerYes they do. Enough room is needed to open both doors at the same time, then a little tug in the right direction will get the interior pieces out and back in.
