• A:Answer Hello there - We really appreciate you reaching out to us about this. None of our refrigerators use linear (inverter) compressors. (They all run on reciprocating compressors.) Additionally, we do not test our appliances to run on inverters. You should check with the inverter manufacturer on whether that device will run an appliance. In general, appliances can be used on an auxiliary power generator such as a gas, diesel, or propane powered generator. We do not specifically test our appliances for use on generators such as gas or inverter powered generators. We hope this is insightful! Q: QuestionHow do you see what the actual temperature is on this model? I see the factory setting temperature but I'm not sure how to get the actual temperature of the refrigerator

• A:Answer Hi there, Thanks so much for reaching out. We're happy to help! The display does not have the ability to show the real-time "actual " temperature. The best way to measure temperature is to place a bulb type or candy thermometer that is capable of reading below zero temperatures directly into a container of food or liquid that has been in the refrigerator or freezer compartment for at least twenty-four (24) hours. When checked first thing in the morning the normal temperature range should be between 34-42 degrees Fahrenheit in the refrigerator section and between -5 and +8 degrees Fahrenheit in the freezer section for self-defrosting models, and 5 to 7 degrees for non self-defrosting models.
