A:Answer Hi - Thank you for your interest in a new GE portable dishwasher. While we have no way of knowing if your pre-war plumbing is suitable for use with a dishwasher, we can provide some information you may find helpful. This model attaches to your sink faucet using a unicouple connector. One hose on the unicouple is what brings the water in from your plumbing to provide the water needed to wash your dishes. The incoming water would need to be a minimum of 120 degrees F. to provide proper wash performance. Depending on the cycle selected, the dishwasher uses between 4.3 - 6 gallons of water per wash cycle. The other hose on the unicouple is what drains the water at the end of the cycle into your sink drain. Hopefully, the information provided today will help you decide if a dishwasher is right for you. All our best! Vikki@GEA
