  • QuestionCan this microwave be vented internally, or must it be externally vented?

    Asked by Jackson.

    • Answer Hi Jackson- We have great news! The microwave can be vented internally (recirculating). The over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: *Outside exhaust (horizontal). *Outside exhaust (vertical). *Recirculating (non-vented). If the model is converted to recirculating and not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposable charcoal filter (included) that helps remove smoke and odors. Upfront charcoal filter with indicator light indicates when the odor-removing charcoal filter needs to be replaced. Thanks for choosing our GE Profile™ Series. Enjoy! SUEatGEA

  • QuestionWhat is sensor cooking vs. convection cooking?

    Asked by Sid.

    • Answer Hi Sid, thanks for reaching out! The sensor cooking pads make cooking easy. The sensor cooking pads generally consist some or all the below: CANNED VEGETABLES, FROZEN VEGETABLES, FRESH VEGETABLES, POTATOES, FISH, CHICKEN PIECES, MEAT. - When one of these pads is selected, the oven will automatically cook the specific food at a pre-programmed power level that determines the proper amount of cooking time by sensing the steam that escapes as the food cooks. This feature automatically adjusts the cooking time to various types and amounts of food. - As for convection cooking: In a convection microwave oven, a fan in the rear of the microwave blows air across a heater and directs it into the oven. The turntable will turn when convection cooking with turntable models, including with convection roast. Since this heated air is constantly in motion, it creates even more browning and a higher temperature than a regular thermal oven. - More information about this can be found on the article titled "MICROWAVES WITH CONVECTION CAPABILITY." We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael

  • QuestionI currently have (or had) a GE PVM9215SFSS. It died a sudden and quiet death. It no longer gets power at all (outlet and fuses are fine). Can I replace it with this Unit? I see the measurements match, just want to see if the mounting plate is same.

    Asked by ChristineNYC.

    • Answer Hi ChristineNYC, thanks for reaching out! All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy! - NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. The model that you've provided here as a replacement will work wonderfully in place of your old unit. We hope that this helps! Happy shopping! -Michael

  • QuestionHow does the internal venting work for microwave model PVM92155k55 SKU 5439301. Is it factory preset for internal ventilation?

    Asked by Dick.

    • Answer It’s versatile to both recirculating or vented to the outside, depending on how you want to set it up. Not sure what you mean by internal ventilation. It pulls the air up from underneath and recirculates it out the top front. There’s nothing extra you need to do with installation if you want it recirculating. That how I use it but I think you can vent it to the outside also, it gives you that option. You’d need extra parts and extra steps to install.

  • Questiondoes this model come with venting kit?

    Asked by shesh.

    • Answer Hi - we're happy to assist with this question about the microwave! This unit is designed to allow for the following 3 different types of ventilation: *Recirculating (Non-Vented Ductless) *Outside Top Exhaust (Vertical Duct) *Outside Back Exhaust (Horizontal Duct). You don't need any extra pieces/kits outside of what's included with the microwave to adjust to any of these ventilation requirements. -- Please keep in mind that the microwave will not include any parts/pieces for the ductwork itself. If you want to learn more about this, you can refer to the installation instructions here: https://content.syndigo.com/asset/c43cb73d-23b7-43da-9410-ddeac2376788/original.pdf -- We hope you found this helpful.
