• Hi there! We appreciate your interest in this stainless steel toaster, and certainly understand the need for a fast toaster. We can advise the browning or Shade control on this model goes from 1 or ‘light’ to 7 or ‘dark’; this determines how done the toast will be. The estimated toasting times, in seconds, are: 1 – 90, 2 – 120, 3 – 140, 4 – 152, 5 – 200, 6 – 230, 7 – 260. So the lightest setting takes about a minute and a half, while the darkest is over 4 minutes. We hope this information is useful, and are happy to help with any other concerns you may have.
