QuestionWhere can I locate the physical fridge so I may take my own exact measurements? I have been unable to locate one and will not spend $1600 for an item sight unseen. Also, what is in the back of the fridge that requires a 2" clearance? Thank you.

- Answer It's a great refrigerator. Have you tried looking at other stores that carry it? The two inches clearance at the back is to allow for air circulation for the unit to work properly. Be happy to measure ours and send info. We're in an older home and had to go on the smallish size to fit.

QuestionDo I need to manually turn of the icemaker or does it “sense” when to stop making ice?

- Answer Hi Paddy. Good question. Thanks to the feeler arm or paddle on your icemaker, it will be able to sense when to stop making ice. The feeler arm will raise as ice fills the bucket or the paddle with encounter resistance as it extends outward to check on the amount in the bucket. Either one of these will tell the icemaker to stop making ice until the bucket is empty or ice is used to cause that amount to lessen, then the unit will start to re-fill the bucket. - Answer Hello and thank you for reaching out about this amazing refrigerator. We are happy to help. To determine how much tubing you need for the water supply line, measure the distance from the water valve on the back of the refrigerator to the water supply pipe. Be sure there is sufficient extra tubing to allow the refrigerator to move out from the wall after installation. The power cord for this model is 61" in length to reach nearby outlets. QuestionI have not been able to track down an appliance store that displays model GNE21FSKSS even in the store that recommended it and Whirlpool. Ruled out Whirlpool because of tacky interior. Where is it in Bronx or lower Westchester. Otherwise it's Samsung.

- Answer Hello - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. We recommend our Model #GNE29GMKES which is a French Door Energy Star 28.5 cubic foot Refrigerator. It does not have the dispenser nor icemaker in the fresh food section but offers the icemaker in the freezer drawer section. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
