- Answer Hi zerk - Your refrigerator will come with the recommended factory setting in the mid position. For colder temperature, turn the knob clockwise toward "Coldest". For warmer temperature, turn the dial counter-clockwise toward "Cold". QuestionCan a ice maker be installed on this unit i see it did have a Deli drawer which would be nice but it's not a crisis a ice maker would be nice on this unit I see that the 21.2 has one from the factory and is energy star where this is not help here GE

- Answer Yes you can!! I “tested” it at the store. I asked the salesman to prove to me the front and side panels were all magnetic, and he stuck his magnetic name tag on the fridge.

QuestionI like the slate finish because it is smudge-proof. Is the black GE (Model # GTS21FGKBB ) fingerprint and smudge proof, too? If anyone has a black one, please reply. Thank you in advance!!!

- Answer I have the black one and it's a standard paint finish. I have a stainless steel fridge in addition to this model, and it's certainly less smudge/fingerprint proof than stainless, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's smudge proof.

- Answer Hi Al- This is Sue at GE Appliances. It's nice to hear from you! To better assist you, the model number of your older GE refrigerator is required. If your refrigerator control is labeled 1-9, 9 is the coldest setting. 5 is the recommended setting. In times of high food load (like holidays) or during the hotter summer months you may find it more effective to turn up the controls to make the entire refrigerator colder. You will find the best settings to suit your needs through experimentation. Wait 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize with each adjustment.
