- Answer Yes there is a filter. I love this refrigerator! It has big bins for vegetables and fruits which I have plenty of. It also has really good lighting inside. I thought it was a bargain especially after reading all the reviews that gave it 5 stars.

- Answer Hi PG - Yes, the refrigerator will hold magnets. However, we strongly advise not to use magnets on Black Stainless or Fingerprint Resistant Stainless doors because they can damage the finish. Thanks for your interest in GE! Sue

QuestionCan you open the ice bin from inside the freezer to get ice rather than using the outside ice/water dispenser? Also, can you order a cover for the butter shelf (top shelf in fridge)? I'm referring to the GE 21.8 Cu. Ft. counter-Depth Fridge.

- Answer Hi there, thank you for the excellent questions, and we would be happy to answer them for you. The ice bin is accessible from inside the freezer. It pulls out like a "drawer" with an opening on the top where you can easily grab ice. The butter shelf in the top of the door in the fridge also comes with a lifting plastic cover, so there is no need to order that part separately. QuestionIs there more than one position for the refrigerator shelves? Can I choose where they go? I know the freezer ones usually are, I'm specifically interested in hearing about the fridge shelves.

- Answer There are three shelves that can be moved around quite a bit in this refrigerator. The bottom three drawers are not adjustable. The freezer only has one shelf that can be moved easily.

- Answer It's actually surprisingly quiet. Although you can hear it, it's a pretty subtle hum. And I have to say, it's pretty efficient so it doesn't run much anyway. As someone that is conscious of sounds/noises, I have no complaints. It's a nice fridge.

QuestionHow wide is the refrigerator side (inches)? I'm concerned with some items not being able to fit...such as a sheet pan or a large pizza box. The pizza box being more important, obviously. Haha! Thanks in advance!

- Answer Hi there, We are finding that the fresh food section's interior has 14.23 cubic feet of space. Also, we have found that the fresh food section's shelf dimensions are as follows: Depth: 14", and Width: 16 1/2". We hope that this helped! QuestionHow much extra clearance do you need to open the doors? I have 37" but the left side will be against a wall.

- Answer Their quick specs guide says that you will need wall clearance of at least 10-3/4 inches on the freezer side in order to remove the bin. From my measurements you would need about 2 inches to open the door 90 degrees, and about 13 inches to fully open the door wide.

- Answer I just measured from the floor to the top of the door, which covers the hinges. It was 70 1/8. I would say you want at least 70.5 inches.
