“Does the black stainless steel refrigerator hold magnets? What about the stainless steel?”

Yes and it shows all kinds of finferprints too :( the only difference from standard stainless is a more up to date look But just today I looked it over and said to myself wow they say you cant notice fingerprints but that is not true at all

Hello Carol - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. Black Stainless refrigerator doors are magnetic and smudge-proof. However, to keep the Black Stainless finish looking like new, we don't recommend using magnets on the doors since they can damage the finish. Stainless steel can vary in its magnetism. Some stainless steel will not hold a magnet. If you are looking for a stainless appliance that will hold a magnet, we recommend bringing a magnet to test when shopping for your appliance. The refrigerator holds magnets on both the front and sides. I have some on the front top and the left hand side when facing the refrigerator.

Yes, it holds magnets, and it does Not hold fingerprints. It has amazing storage in both the freezer and the refrigerator, while still having ice and water in the door.
