- Answer Hi Vicki- Thanks for choosing GE! To cancel a wash cycle, press and hold the Start pad for 3 seconds. The dishwasher will drain, emit a beep sound, and the wash cycle light will turn OFF. QuestionI am replacing a GE model GSD2030Z02WW which has the water connection on the left side. I don't think my current water connection would reach to the right side, so I need to know where the water connector is on this Model GDF520PGJWW. Thanks.

QuestionAre there adjustable feet? If so, what's the min. height I can make the dishwasher? I have a 32.5" cutout from tile to the top of cutout, but If I can get the machine past the tile, i have an extra 1" of space (total of 33.5") once under the counter.

- Answer Hello BRUBER, Thank you for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. The dishwasher can not be reset once operation has begun, but the cycle can be cancelled and setting can be changed. To stop a cycle, simply press and hold the start pad for three seconds and close the door. The dishwasher will drain, beep, and the wash cycle will turn off. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA

QuestionI have the ge 24 front control dishwasher. I have tried everything but my glass wear is so spotty and even the while dishwasher is covered in white when it’s done washing. We have a water softener that works have used different detergent and rinse aid

- Answer Hi - We are happy to provide assistance. You will need to use less detergent if you have a water softener. The amount of detergent you use will be determined by the hardness of your water. Also, adjust the rinse aid dispenser to reduce the amount of rinse agent (turn counterclockwise). See page 9 of the Owner' Manual. See the chart on page 10 of the Owner's Manual: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55117.pdf - Sandy grit left on dishes is from water not being hot enough to dissolve liquid or dry detergent. The water coming into the dishwasher should be a minimum of 120 degrees Fahrenheit. To check the water temperature, run the hot water at the kitchen sink and measure the temperature of the running water with a canning or meat thermometer. Adjust the temperature of the water heater accordingly. To be sure that the dishwasher is filling with the hottest possible water, run the hot water faucet at the kitchen sink prior to operating the dishwasher. Also, avoid running the dishwasher while hot water is being used for other activities. QuestionThe timer shows 270 minutes for a cycle. That seems WAYYYYYY Too Long! How can I adjust to a normal length cycle, other than going to "light" setting and even that is still 130 minutes?

QuestionI need to replace a GE space saver dishwasher. It has served us well. However, my old dishwasher is positioned under my sink and the upper rack is reduced in size to accommodate the sink. can you tell me if this model has a recess to fit under the sink?

- Answer I think if you go to GE's website with the model number you can access directions that way. However, when you close the door, you might accidentally be pushing the start button at the same time.

QuestionI am having a problem starting the dish washer. I checked made sure the door wash shut and the trays. I push start in a few seconds the light flashes doesn’t wash. Can you help I don’t have a owners manual.

- Answer I suspect that your machine will not start a cycle because it thinks the door is not closed. Sometimes when people mount the screws that go into the wood at the front top of the washer they do not adjust the height so it pulls the top of the washer up and though it may seem the door is closing it really isnt. Try opening the door, and pressing in where the latch on the door should meet. Until it clicks. Now with the door still open run a cycle.
