Q: QuestionWill this oven ever be available again? I have this same model now, but the repairman would not put a new igniter in because he said the wires were in too bad of a condition. I have been without an over for over six months.

Q: QuestionI have a 1998 model built in oven without self cleaning feature, that I'm considering replacing, in a 46-yr old house.. Does this model require specialized heavier-duty wiring to handle the self ceaning feature?

• A:Answer Hello - We appreciate your interest in this gas wall oven and we are happy to help! The model JGRP20WEJWW has the following power ratings: 120V; 60Hz; 5A. We do not provide the AWG wiring size or gauge (the physical thickness of the wire) for those trying to wire their house for any cooking appliance. There are too many variables involved, such as: length, type of wire, etc. This is a safety issue; if the wrong size wire is used, the insulation covering the wire can overheat, melt and cause a fire. The power leads supplied with this appliance are suitable for connection to heavier gauge household wiring. The insulation of these leads is rated for temperatures much higher than the temperature rating of the household wiring. The current-carrying capacity of the conductor is governed by the wire gauge and the temperature rating of the insulation around the wire. Local electrical codes must always be followed for these situations. Please contact a local licensed electrician for more detailed information. Built-in wall ovens and drop-in ranges have 4 wires: red, black, white, and bare ground. We hope this helps. Thanks for checking. Olga@GEA

Q: QuestionHow loud does this really sound? Some say loud others say its not. Can someone compare it to something? Also how is the broiling feature on this oven being at the top? Do you put the food at the top rack to use it I suppose.

It is normal to hear the temperature control click on and off during baking, broiling and self-cleaning cycles.
