GE should state in "Using The Dishwasher" that you should open the door as soon as the Clean light comes on, instead of hiding it under Troubleshooting. However you can't see the Clean light with the door closed anyway...

This model features Condensate Dry which is an energy-efficient drying system on some dishwashers. With this drying system design, condensation will form on cooler surfaces in a warm humid environment. At the end of a cycle, while the dish load is still hot, the stainless steel tub walls are already cooling down and pulling condensation to form on the tub walls instead of the dishes. This provides natural air drying of the dish load. The use of a rinse agent, such as Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid, ensures spot and film protection for dishes and assists the drying process. For proper drying, the dishwasher door must be opened immediately after the Clean light comes on. Due to variables, we are not able to provide an exact dry time. Hot Start Option will preheat the water allowing dishes to be washed at any time. Water coming into the dishwasher may be as low as 95 degrees F and this feature will help raise the temperature to the required 120 degrees F. It actually heats the tub, spray arms, dishes, (prior to the main wash cycle) allowing proper cleaning without effecting the energy label. Once selected, approximately 1-1/2 gallons of water enters the tub, circulates in the tub for 5 minutes and then drains. This helps to purge cold water that may be in the line. Then another 1-1/2 gallons of water enters the tub and circulates for approximately 15 minutes and then drains. The heating element is on during this period of Auto HotStart heating up the water and the tub. After this option is run, the dishwasher will automatically go into the cycle that has been selected.
