Hello Patrick, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. If the countertop is granite or a similar material that will not accept wood screws. You will want to use the side mounting brackets. Break off the front portion of the tab with pliers at the location shown, prior to attaching to the dishwasher. Refer to the installation instructions for complete instructions.
