The water seems to dispense very quickly. We've had ours for about a week and my wife has been filling up her one liter water bottles using the water dispenser. She feels like it dispenses quicker than the Whirlpool we had before.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi kteddy - We certainly appreciate your loyalty! It takes approximately 7 seconds to fill an 8 ounce glass. An adequate cold water supply is crucial for satisfactory icemaker and dispenser operation on these models. The water pressure must be between 40 and 120 psi (pounds per square inch). Pressures below 40 psi may cause a malfunction of the icemaker (i.e. producing hollow cubes or slow ice production). A slow water dispenser could be an indication of a clogged filter, kink in the supply tubing or a clogged saddle-valve. We suggest performing the following test if you suspect the filter is clogged (It's a general test, so results can vary): Dispense water from the dispenser (internal or external) into a large measuring cup for 20 seconds. If the water is less than 13.5 ounces, the water flow is probably inadequate. If the unit passes the test the dispenser is likely working properly. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dispensing speed depends on, among other things, the age of the filter. Having said that, my two month old GE side-by-side currently has a flow rate of just under 18 seconds for 2 cups of water. I hope this answers your question.
