Hi Lee the wattage of this fridge is 1,800 Watts. This power specs of this fridge is 120 Volts, 60Hz, 15 Amps, This may seem like a really high number. Usually when the compressor kicks on it starts at that wattage and then uses a lot less energy once the fridge gets down to temperature.

Our refrigerators require a 115 or 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Should be on a dedicated circuit. This is recommended for best performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits. The exact amps or wattage is located on the refrigerator rating plate.
