Q: QuestionI have a 30-inch doorway into my kitchen. Will this 25.6 cu ft refrigerator fit through the doorway if the doors are removed? I read that the Best Buy installers will not remove the doors from the refrigerator if needed, yikes! Advice/help, please.

• A:Answer I have this same refrigerator with a 32 inch door way and because the handles stick out so far I had to remove all of the doors in order to get the refrigerator into the doorway

Q: QuestionWe just had this refrigerator delivered today and after attaching the waterline, nothing comes out of dispenser (makes running noise though), as first time use, we hold down for more than 5 min but no luck. Waterline is fine and has proper water flow.

• A:Answer Hi Dipan, was your refrigerator delivered new in box or open box? If your fridge was delivered new in box there should be a filter included. If your fridge was delivered open box there may not be a filter or bypass filter plug installed. Make sure that your water is turned on and that the fridge has a filter or bypass filter plug installed. If there is not filter or plug installed the water and ice dispenser will not function. According to the manual a filter or bypass plug is required for ice and water dispenser to function. I will attached a photo from the manual that displays this information. In order to obtain a free bypass plug you can contact GE and they can ship you one. Make sure to take note of what style filter or bypass plug you need because there are a few styles available.

• A:Answer Hi Kamz - Bottom freezer and French door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that holds 12 - 24 oz. of water. The water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. After the 12 - 24 oz. of cold water is dispensed, any additional water dispensed will not be chilled until the water in the coil tubing has had time to chill again. There is not a separate temperature control for the water dispenser. Thanks for your interest! Sue

When the model is manufactured, these extra letters (AF) are placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card.
