Hi Patty- The faucet adapter is designed to fit standard spouts having internal or external threads. An aerator adapter is supplied with each portable dishwasher. Remove the existing strainer or aerator and screw on the aerator adapter. It fits most standard faucet spouts. Aerator faucet adapter adapts your kitchen faucet to accept the dishwasher hose connection. Reduces splashing in the sink when dishwasher is not hooked-up. Unicouple slips onto the aerator adapter and locks into place to supply hot water to the dishwasher through the top hose. Used water drains through the lower hose and out the bottom of the Unicouple into the sink. Unicouple faucet adapter provides simple, quick connect and disconnect of hot water to dishwasher. Pressure-release valve lets you disconnect hose from faucet without splashing. We hope this is helpful.
