- Answer This air conditioner is a really nice model for a small room up to 250 square ft. This model has Eco Mode that automatically turns off the fan and compressor when the room is cool enough, reducing your utility costs. It has adjustable louvers and a filter reminder. It is a really nice model that is small but mighty. You'll stay cool with this one. Enjoy!

QuestionShows unit is 12 5/8” height? Does that include the bottom rail? Says minimum opening height is 13 7/16”. How tall is rail? Can it be slid in from the outside and then attach the top rail?

- Answer The rails of the air conditioner should be installed before the air conditioner is placed in the window. Please follow the instructions beginning on page 11 of the Use and Care manual.

- Answer I left mine in. I think it’s supposed to stay in there I didn’t see any way of getting it out. I think that’s why I don’t like the air conditioner and it seems to block the air flow from coming out!

- Answer No, our air conditioners are not designed to be installed sideways. Doing so could cause irreparable damage. It can be installed in a window that is a minimum of 17" wide. In this case, you would not use the EZ Mount installation kit included with the unit and you may need to purchase additional materials to seal any open space on each side and at the top of the unit.

- Answer The unit dimensions are 21 7/8 inches to 36 inches across with the side expansion panels and 13 3/8 inches tall. For more specific information about installation and dimensions it can be found in the install guide or on the website (page 11).

QuestionThis ac is leaking water and it’s only a year old -

- Answer As warm, moist (humid) air from the room passes over the cold indoor coil, water condenses on the cold indoor coil and collects in the base pan where it flows to the rear of the Air Conditioner. It is normal to see water dripping on the outdoor side of the Air Conditioner. The air conditioner should be installed tilted slightly to the outside (about 1/4 inch) so that any excess water will drip outside rather than leak into the room. Please keep in mind a dirty air filter can cause moisture to collect and drip on the floor inside the room.

- Answer The Installation Instructions are for a standard double-hung window. You will need to modify them for other types of windows. The full Installation Instructions can be viewed starting on page 9 of the Owner’s Manual, which can be viewed at the bottom of the Features tab on the Best Buy product page.

QuestionMy window opening is only 25 inches wide. . Will this unit, with the kit be too big to fit in the window? According to the specs, it needs a little over 27 inches.. So even if the surrounding kit is fully collapsed, will it still not fit my window? l

- Answer We appreciate your interest in our air conditioner! The minimum window opening that will work is 21.88" while the maximum window opening is 36". More information about the window requirements is available on page 11 of the manual, which can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page.

- Answer Yes; The unit is under 20" wide and under 16 inches tall. 4.7 Amps. Source: Product Specifications Label on unit. This unit is putting out 44 Degrees Fahrenheit, which is above normal. Source: Infrared Thermometer.

- Answer This also depends on ceiling height, insulation, windows, number of occupants and other factors. If windows are only north facing that could be a major influence. Also depends on how warm and how long your summers are.
