- Answer Yeah but the standard hose is not long enough for the unit to fit on the ground, and reach the window properly The hose does not have any mechanism to stay inside the wring latch. Very poorly designed

- Answer Does not come with foam seals even though it mentions them in the instructions for installation. Small hand towels or old piece of styrofoam works decent.

- Answer Hi CoolJoe - Thanks for viewing GE! The air conditioning process is basically moving warm humid air outside so the hoses are designed primarily to move heat and humidity from a room. These units are sold with a 5' exhaust vent hose with a 5” inch diameter. Operating the unit without an exhaust vent will not allow heat and humidity to be removed from the room. The unit will not function properly without an exhaust vent. Additionally the unit must be vented outdoors, not into an attic or other indoor space. QuestionWhat is the true diameter of the vent hose? I will need to purchase a sliding door venting kit and must know the hose size for compatibility. A previous customer question/and answer said 5”, but I’ve also read that it is closer to 6”. Please clarify.

These units are sold with a 5' exhaust vent hose with a 5” inch diameter. Operating the unit without an exhaust vent will not allow heat and humidity to be removed from the room. The unit will not function properly without an exhaust vent. Additionally the unit must be vented outdoors, not into an attic or other indoor space. We so not offer a model without an exhaust vent. - Answer I can't see why not? As long as you can run the hose outside the pop up somehow and secure it some what it will be better than nothing. Oh yeah you need a proper power source. That's most important in my opinion. Make sure you have a good generator at very least that can handle the power requirements.

- Answer I just saw this after I wrote my review today (10/1/20). GE's answer is not helpful. The specs say it will fit 20" to 46", with the glaring omission that it won't fit 20-30" without using a saw! I hope they send me the saw I need. They really need to update their specs.
