“Does the slate scratch as easily as the black stainess”

Hi Joan- We are excited to hear of your interest in our Premium Slate and Black Stainless Finishes! Although our appliances are not scratch-proof, our Slate finish is quite durable and holds up well. It is recommended that the premium exterior finish surfaces be treated similar to high-end coatings on automobiles. In order to avoid scratching or damaging the exterior finish surfaces, they should be cleaned with warm water and a mild soap or detergent solution. The appliance finish surface should then be wiped dry with a soft, clean cloth or microfiber towel. A clean micro fiber cloth or a soft clean cloth is recommended for both cleaning and drying.
