Yes, this was one of the last washing machines that would completely FILL with water. But it only lasted my family and I 4 years. It never completely drained no matter how many spin cycles you ran which meant more money spent in drying the clothing in the dryer. That is, if the clothing, bedding, towels, etc survived the wash. This particular GE product was of very poor design. Anything that got caught under the agitator would get ripped, torn and destroyed. The water/seal between the basin drum and the agitator was non existent which meant the metal or ceramic (i didn't investigate that much) holder that held the agitator to the drum self destructed after only 4 years of use. This product is terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. Not even an enemy !!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it fills to capacity - I have added baking soda to some loads & unlike my last washer, I have never seen any powder on my clean clothes, which means it is filling up all the way. I think this washer is a real good deal.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi frustrated-this is Sue from GE Appliances. Over the last few years, the water level for each cycle has been reduced to comply with federal energy and water regulations. Your new GE Washer is designed to accommodate these reduced water levels and to wash and rinse properly with the quantity of water added for each selected cycle. This model features a dual-action agitator designed to provide better circulation and turn-over of clothes. The top half operates independent of the bottom half to help drive the clothes down into the water. Also, choose the Power Rinse option for a deep fill rinse. The amount of water used in the deep fill rinse is determined by the load size selected. Thanks for checking with us!
