• A:Answer Hi cookie - The washer is equipped with an efficient Infusor. The Infusor replaces the traditional agitator. With an Infusor, the clothes stay near the wash plate. The mechanical action of the Infusor moves the clothes through the water and against the sides of the tub and down around the Infusor. This wash system is softer and quieter during agitation. It is listed under Overview - Features. Q: QuestionWanting to purchase a stackable washer drier. This one appears to have a larger capacity than others. Would I be able to wash a queen size quilt in here? Thank you Kim

• A:Answer Hi GIMom - We truly appreciate your interest in purchasing a unitized washer and dryer and are happy to offer you some guidance in this. This washer offers you a large capacity of 3.9 cu. ft. as well as a Bulky Items cycle which is recommended for bedding. The question of if a particular washer will accommodate a queen size comforter is a tricky one, simply because there is so much variability in comforter material, thickness, and density. - However, most comforters will wash properly in our washers if the comforter fits below the balance ring of the washer tub and is not stuffed too tightly. For best results, load items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket and make sure not to load items on top of the infusor. You can find additional guidance on loading the washer on page 11 of the Use and Care Manual. We hope that helps! -Eliza@GEA

Q: QuestionWhat is the minimum depth requirement for a closet when installing this appliance considering any attachments, hoses, cords etc. that may protrude from the back of the unit.

• A:Answer Hi - The dryer is deeper in the rear than the washer. The overhang is 4" past the back panel of the washer, which means it sticks out past the vent, electrical, and plumbing connections. The dryer can sit up against a wall without adding any extra depth to the unit. This provides space for the connections in the rear. Because of this overhang, the unit does not need knockouts to vent to the left or right side. The vent elbow can be turned left, right, or down as needed. In a closet installation we do recommend 1" clearance at the top and front of the unit. We hope this helps. Vikki@GEA

Q: QuestionI need to use a washing drain pain under my washer to meet town codes. What dimensions of the drain pan would this unit require? and would I be looking for inside dimensions or external when I purchase it. Do I get to specify 3 or 4 prong power cord

• A:Answer Hello Sudsy - Thank you for reaching out about this wonderful laundry center. The dimensions of the unit are 26 3/4 W x 30 7/8 D so we recommend looking for a drain pan of this same size. Q: QuestionI purchased a stacked washer and dryer from Best Buy Model # GUD27ESSM1WW Serial # AZ0504035C and on the first selection to perform and wash it doesn't complete the cycle and the items in the wash remain in water and this is only in the first selection.

• A:Answer The washer in this unit does have a bleach dispenser. Since this unit has an impeller, and not an agitator, it does not have a fabric softener dispenser.
