Q: QuestionI have the GE JT5500SF1SS Double Oven Wall Unit. I was getting the F97 error so I replaced the Lower Fan Cooler along with the Circuit Board. As soon as I tried to run the oven I immediately got the F97 error again. So confused!! Any help is appreciated!!

• A:Answer This works for me – F97 TRY IT! Turn the lower oven on to “self-cleaning” mode and run for a few minutes- 5 or so. If you think you may forget you have the oven on, then be certain to remove the racks, because you really are not supposed to leave the racks in for a full self-cleaning cycle. A few minutes is fine and that’s all you need is but a few minutes running in self-cleaning mode Doing this has always worked to eliminate the F97 error code from my GE double oven. The F97 code pops up on my GE oven about every year and a half to two years. This is an easy no cost fix so definitely worth you trying! I am not the one that came up with this fix, I found it a few years ago after doing a deep dive on the internet for the F97 code. The person that posted it said something along the lines of “Pray to Jesus that what you are going to do will work. Then turn on the lower self cleaning mode and let it run a couple of minutes. Should fix the error code. Then thank Jesus!” Well it has always worked for me!

Q: QuestionSorry - this is a more clear version of my previous question: Is there anything other than height (like a venting process from the double oven) that would prevent us from installing a built in micro above this unit? The ovens would be installed lower.

Our wall ovens are designed to vent below the bottom of the oven doors, and due to the height of the oven, combined with other necessary clearances from the floor and between cut-outs, the installation would not be approved for safe or convenient use. • A:Answer Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. Dehydrating or drying fruits, vegetables, or meat in the oven is not recommended unless the oven has a Dehydration feature. Dehydrating is a process of using low heat for a longer period of time to remove the moisture content in the foods. Most GE ovens are not designed for this purpose. If you want to just BAKE and item then you press the BAKE pad and use the number pads to select your bake temperature and then press start. You will not be using the convection feature. You also select the oven you want to bake in. The convection mode can only be used in the upper oven only. Hope this helps. Geoff@GEA
