QuestionHas any one who has used this for a while experienced the plastic knobs melting or being disfigured in any way?

- Answer The previous one I had had the plastic knobs melted and disfigured. I am not sure of the new model though.

QuestionThe reviews mention to buy the electrical kit for home installation. What is the electrical kit and how to purchase on-line? I plan on installing it myself.

- Answer An electrical kit is not required for this stove. It already comes with a gas regulator and electrical power cord pre-installed. IF you need to have an electrical outlet installed nearby, then that is a separate issue that an electrician should do. There is no electrical kit, power cord comes with the stove.

- Answer Not sure what you mean by sealed. They look like any other gas burners that are currently being sold in the stores. If you are referring to the open concept of the 1980s and 1990s , no they don't look like that

QuestionHi my ge gas cooktop model # JGP3030DLBB keeps shifting on the countertop , I cannot seem to figure out how to lock it in place ! please help , I see to brackets but the holes they are saying to use do not seem to be on my model.

- Answer Hi building. Thanks for reaching out to us. If you're wanting to convert your cooktop from Natural Gas to LP, you would need to use the LP Conversion Kit that comes with that cooktop. QuestionIs this gas cook top for propane or natural gas ?

- Answer Hi wawa - We have good news! All of our gas cooking appliances come ready to be connected to natural gas and also come with an LP conversion kit to connect to LP (Liquid Propane). The conversion instructions are located in the wiring diagram (mini-manual) and are included with the LP kit attached to the appliance near the pressure regulator. We recommend a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas cooktop to the proper gas supply needed. The conversion must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. We’d love to have you in the family. - Answer I don't see a problem with the fan above, just feel better about an outside exhaust. As for an oven under, the problem I see is getting to the gas supply and cooktop electrical connection. Our cooktop has a downdraft exhaust so that would be another problem for us.

This cooktop is equipped with a 15,000 BTU Power Boil burner (Left Front) that delivers high heat for fast boiling and a 5,000 BTU Precise Simmer Burner (Left Rear) so delicate items don't burn with low, even heat. QuestionI bought a house and the old owner put a new stove top in JGP3030SL1SS, the propane company that switched service out said the TIPS need to be switched. i have the tips and the install manual but it does not say which size tip goes to which burner.

QuestionWhat is the outside dimension of the flange that sits atop of the counter ? My openning is right at/ beyond cut out dim, unless there is a surround to sit the cook top onto, to prevent messes/ spills from escaping counter top.
