With mine, the fan will will shut off after the desired humidity had been reached.

If humidity levels seem to stay at desired range then once the dehumidifier reaches that range condenser shuts off and stays in that range, the fan will shut off roughly 3-5 min after condenser as long as humidity doesn’t start to rise as soon as condenser shuts off. Also make sure it’s not running on constant mode.

If not set in continuous mode, the compressor for the dehumidifier will turn off when it reaches the set relative humidity level. The fan should turn off about 3 minutes after the compressor cycles off. There are a few factors that could affect the dehumidifier fan operation: -The humidity level rises again, so the fan stays on and the compressor comes back on. -Frost on the coils will cause the fan to stay on to defrost the unit. The compressor will stay off and the fan will stay on until the coils are defrosted. -Dirty air filter. We'd recommend that you consult your Owner's Manual for directions on how to clean the filter. - If the fan does not shut off after approximately three minutes and just runs continuously, it would not be operating as intended. If the unit is not shutting off, please refer to the model's warranty located in the Owner's Manual. We hope that this information is helpful! Stay safe. -Michael@GEA
