The casters require a lot of pressure to get them to seat fully into their slots. We had the dehumidifier on its side. I found that applying a little lubricant (soap, wax, oil) on the caster "rod" helped a little. It really was quite difficult to get them snapped into place. My son and I struggled with this step for a while. This minor issue aside, the unit works really well!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, my recollection is that I had to use a good bit of force to get them to snap in. I think what I ended up doing was inserting them in the holes, then carefully flipping the thing upright and then pushing down on the top of the dehumidifier to get them to snap in. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also had trouble with the casters and didn’t see any arrows. I took the advice from others and lubricated them. I wiped a little cooking spray on each one. After that I inserted all four in seconds with only a slight amount of pressure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The casters are hard to install, yes. They do fit within the openings that seem obvious for the pins on the caster wheels, but do require considerable force to insert. The press-fit nature of these insures they won't easily fall out, but the initial installation is more difficult as a result. Some very light lubrication on the caster wheel post might make the assembly easier.
