• There might be a knockout plug in the hose fitting that needs to be removed.

• Hi there - Thanks for reaching out to us. There are a few possible reasons why the water isn't draining through the attached drain hose. For example, if the hose is pushed into a drain (like a standpipe), make sure it is not pushed in too far (if the hose is touching water, it will not drain). In this case, just pull out the hose until the hose outlet is above the water line.
