“Does this ac require a bracket on the bottom to hold it? If not, what is it held by?”

• It comes with 2 "L" brackets for mounting to the sill plate, attached to either side of A/C, some modification ( additional wood) may be required for proper fitting, dependent on the size and angle of your window/sill plate.
