Hey there, and thanks for reaching out to us. We certainly understand how important a clean filter is and are happy to provide instructions. To remove the filter for cleaning, simply open the inlet grille by pulling downward on the tabs at the top upper corners of the grille until it’s at a 45 degree angle. The filter can then be removed and cleaned with warm, soapy water. Rinse and let the filter dry before placing it back in the air conditioner. The filter should not be put in a dishwasher, and we recommend cleaning the filter at least every 30 days for best performance. We hope this information is helpful, and are available to assist with any other questions or concerns. Wishing you the best! -Sarah@GEA
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Pull it right out of the left side of your unit , it’s very easy , rinse off the dust-debris , in the sink or using a hose etc, then air dry. And slide it back in gently until it makes the click noise and is flush again like in the picture. I recently waited to see if my filter alert would signal “red flashing light” to remind me It’s time to clean the filter. It alerted me today. For the first time, ( it’s recommended to clean once a mont) I have a brand new unit and I went about 2 months, then my signal finally went off . You shouldn’t wait for the signal but I was testing it to make sure it worked. And it did it’s Job. A+ it was filthy! So obviously it’s doing a great job. . The filter works very well
