QuestionBest Buy installed this product along with a new GE Profile microwave. The filler kit is 16" high while the microwave is a little over 17" This leaves a one inch gap at the top. What's the deal? Do you have one the right size?

- Answer I recently bought the GE 1.9 cu ft sensor over the range microwave JNM7196SK1SS. BEST BUY installed the oven with the GE stainless steel adapter kit to fit this 30" wide oven into the 36" wide opening. Both the oven and the adapter kit are 16" tall so the fit is perfect. Love how it looks and it is functioning properly. If GE sells a 17" tall adapter kit (I didn't see one) then that would obviously solve the issue. However it sounds like you'll have to change your oven selection to a 16" tall oven to fit the adapter that is available. Hope that helps

- Answer I purchased the GE 1.9 cu ft sensor microwave JNM7196SK1SS. The 30" wide oven fit perfectly with the GE adapter kit into the 36" opening. Looks great!

- Answer JX36DSS. Very tricky. They only have one, and it only works with certain microwaves. Force salesman to look it up VERY carefully before you buy. Otherwise, great.

- Answer Hello Tina - All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. NOTE: When replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts, and exhaust adapter should also be used. If you are replacing a 36" over-the-range microwave, many current 30" over-the-range microwaves offer an optional 36" filler kit to allow it to be installed in a 36" cut-out opening. If available, the filler kit will be listed in the product specifications. We no longer manufacture any over-the-range microwaves in Bisque that have a 36 inch filler kit.
